Why I Wear What I Wear?

by Rebecca Pagakis April 25, 2016

The Bhakti Shoppe began with a creative idea that blossomed from across the world. In the heart of India, Thailand, and Various places across Europe. Experiencing different cultures and their fashions. We only gather, create, and offer the most precious creations from various sacred lands.

"The adventure is your experience, while being unique in who you are & what you choose to wear!"

The owner of the Bhakti Shoppe tells her story...

Born in Southern California by the beach, living a simple life - always out searching for the next adventure. Creating, painting, exploring, playing and writing music. Spending many days with friends, while being influenced by their likes and dislikes. As this affected who I was - it also affected the way I dressed. To try and fit in with modern society - the "scene". The clothing I would choose to wear wasn't always comfortable or modest. Days I would find myself alone, I would reflect. Who am I? What am I doing?

It all began at Shakti Fest 2013 when I was introduced to the Path of Bhakti. Here, I immersed myself in the high desert - with the echoing of sacred music in the dancing wind. Many beautiful faces, smiling - blissfully - high on life. Many eye catching and alluring shops offering so many things that I've never seen before. I learned about natural clothing sourced from Mother Earth, with an intent and consciousness behind the material. With the most remarkable vibrations while practicing yoga, breathing, meditation and lots of chanting – eating the radiant and alive food, the experience is intoxicating and invigorating.

"The good life should always come with a splash of the unexpected..."

A few years later I got involved with Bhakti Fest. In a short time I met my amazing husband, and began traveling around the world and journeying the path - listening to the calling of a greater purpose. We explore various non-tourist places, learning and expanding - life itself. The more we travel; the more I become inspired. Visiting rural market places, holy temples, orphanages, ancient sacred sites, etc.

One day the idea came, to source only the finest materials of the earth from all around the globe and create one of a kind products that most everyone will love, feel the love; while being different - offering everything at an incredibly affordable price.

Inspired creations immersed in the high energy of balance and pure love.

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

My motivation is to share the uniqueness of quality products that will free one from judgments, especially those of self judgement.  The mission is to open the eyes and hearts of those whom have a hard time expressing who they really are.

"Be a visionary, wear what you want to wear, not what someone else wants you to wear"

From creating our products ↠ to modeling ↠ to packaging each and every order lovingly, shipping from my hands to your hands. I am so thankful for the blessing of this opportunity to share my creations that were inspired by a higher cause - creations of love that tap into the divinity of ones higher self.

“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”

With Love & Grace,

☾ New Moon Rising ☽

The energy of a New Moon is significantly as powerful as a Full Moon.

On the day of new moon, the moon rises when the sun rises. It sets when the sun sets. It crosses the sky with the sun during the day.
